As part of our drive to showcase South African potstill/Cape Brandy as an excellent and globally recognised spirit, Dr Winnie Bowman joined the SA Brandy Foundation to host a sold-out benchmark tasting.
The event took place in collaboration with the Cape Wine Academy and Group Sommelier Miguel Chan from Sandton Sun. We were supported by sommeliers Shane Mumba and Amos Sobashe.
Attended by wine writers, judges, influencers, sommeliers, and Cape Wine Academy graduates, the event received high praise from Michael Fridjhon for its clear, precise presentation. Dr Bowman was commended for guiding the attendees to the heart of the perfectly selected samples. Five regional WCellar sommeliers were also present.
