The Inventor Barrel-Aged Potstill XO Rosso Brandy
This innovative XO expression blends Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot brandy — both aged for at least 10 years in French oak. Deep garnet-bronze in colour, it opens with fruitcake, cherry compote and aged oak on the nose. The palate is rich and velvet-smooth, showing dark berry, bittersweet chocolate, clove and a whisper of cigar box. Structured and expressive, it finishes long with lingering fruit, spice and polished oak. Complex and indulgent, this is a full-bodied brandy for red wine lovers and adventurous palates.
The Inventer Barrel-Aged Potstill XO Blanco Brandy
A bold reimagining of Cape brandy, this XO “Blanco” is created from separately vinified and distilled Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Ugni Blanc and Hanepoot grapes. Matured in French oak, then blended for balance, it pours pale gold. The nose is fruit-forward with ripe apricot, peach, and white blossom. On the palate, soft vanilla and toffee notes are lifted by crisp acidity and gentle oak. Light in texture but full of expression, it finishes with creamy pear, baked apple and a faint herbal freshness. This is a bright, modern XO.
